A shooting at a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in North Carolina left four people injured and caused chaos at the crowded event.

Officials in North Carolina reported a shooting in Concord, about 30 km northeast of Charlotte, during a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the evening of 21/11.

The Concord Police Department identified three suspects in the shooting: Nasir Ahmad Bostic, 18, Keyvyonn Rayshaund Bostic, 17, and an unnamed juvenile accomplice.

Nasir and the juvenile suspect sustained injuries in the shooting and received hospital treatment. Keyvyonn was uninjured and arrested immediately after the incident.

Police charged the suspects with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inciting a riot. The two injured victims are both 17 years old, with one in critical condition. The motive for the shooting remains unknown.
