"We have a master plan, and there will be no Plan B", Jared Kushner stated, unveiling his vision for post-war Gaza at the World Economic Forum in Davos on 22/1.
Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law and a key figure in the Gaza ceasefire agreement, then projected a map of Gaza, illustrating the development direction for the entire strip.
Key aspects of the plan include a coastal tourism zone stretching along the Mediterranean coast, large enough to develop 180 high-rise buildings, primarily anticipated to be hotels.

In southwest Gaza, near the Egyptian border, the map shows a seaport and an inland airport. Kushner highlighted two major urban projects named New Rafah and New Gaza.
In New Rafah, over 100,000 permanent homes will be built, along with more than 200 schools and over 75 medical facilities, expected to be completed within two to three years. Kushner stated that debris clearing operations in the area have already begun.
New Gaza is envisioned as an industrial hub, aiming to create employment for 100% of the workforce. Renderings depict a city resembling Gulf cities such as Doha or Dubai, with waterfront complexes and modern office spaces.

Kushner noted that governments would be the initial financial contributors, with preliminary commitments expected to be announced at a conference in Washington in the coming weeks. He also called for private sector involvement, asserting these are attractive investment opportunities.
"I know investing in a place like this has risks, but we need you to come, place your trust, and invest in the people here", Kushner remarked.
If the plan fails, accountability "will be very clear", according to Kushner. "If Hamas does not disarm, that will be an obstacle preventing the people of Gaza from achieving their aspirations", he stated.

The task of overseeing disarmament will fall to a new technocratic committee, part of Trump's Peace Council structure, comprising Palestinian members. "If that does not happen, we cannot rebuild", Kushner emphasized.
Palestinian officials have not yet provided a clear response.
The Israeli military is currently present in over half of Gaza's territory. The initial ceasefire plan mentioned establishing an international stabilization force to facilitate a complete Israeli withdrawal. However, to date, third parties remain hesitant to join this force, and Israel opposes some potential candidates like Turkey.
