"I am pleased to announce that the Venezuelan interim government will transfer 30-50 million barrels of previously sanctioned oil to the United States," Donald Trump posted on Truth social media on 6/1. "This oil will be sold at market price, and I will control the proceeds as US President to ensure they are used for the benefit of the Venezuelan and American people."

Trump stated he had asked US Energy Secretary Chris Wright to implement the plan immediately. The shipment would be transported directly to US ports by oil tankers.
