The signing ceremony for the Peace Council Charter took place in Davos, Switzerland, today. Representatives from nearly 20 nations were in attendance, primarily from the Middle East and South America. No Western European countries were present. "Congratulations to President Donald Trump, the charter is now in full effect. The Peace Council has become an official international organization," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated at the event.
President Trump declared the world is now "more peaceful" than before he took office. He asserted that the Peace Council would soon help negotiate lasting peace in Gaza.

According to him, Israel's military campaign in the Gaza Strip is "truly nearing its end." He stated that Hamas must disarm under a ceasefire agreement, or face eradication. "They were born with guns. Now they must give up their weapons," the US President said.
Trump announced the Peace Council has commenced operations and is "running well." He commended efforts to build a peace plan for the conflict in the Gaza Strip. "We have unveiled a plan to permanently end the Gaza conflict. I am delighted to announce that the United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted our vision late last year," he stated.
The Peace Council, according to Trump's initial plan, was a small group of world leaders responsible for overseeing the peace plan in the Gaza Strip. However, the body's scale has expanded. He sent invitations to about 60 nations and hinted the council would soon mediate global conflicts, akin to a "miniature Security Council."

About 35 nations have accepted invitations to join the Peace Council. Apart from the US, no other permanent member of the United Nations Security Council has joined the organization. Russia stated it is studying the proposal, France has declined, the UK said it is not currently participating, while China has not confirmed its participation.
During a White House press conference on 20/1, President Trump stated that the Peace Council could replace the United Nations, but both organizations would coexist because the United Nations "has great potential."
