Responding to inquiries about Vietnam's reaction to the current severe escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Pham Thu Hang today affirmed Vietnam's position, which was clearly stated on 28/2.
"Vietnam opposes acts of using force to attack sovereign states, particularly civilian infrastructure, which results in numerous civilian casualties. These actions have caused severe damage and continue to threaten the lives, safety, and interests of people, including Vietnamese citizens in the region, destabilizing economic activities, peace, and stability in the region and the world," Hang stated.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Vietnam calls on all relevant parties to act responsibly, strictly adhere to international law, the Charter, and relevant resolutions of the United Nations, respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations, resume negotiations, and facilitate dialogue towards resolving differences through peaceful means. This approach aims to benefit the people and promote peace, stability, and development in the region and worldwide.
