The victim reported that the bag contained approximately one million yen in cash (about 180 million Vietnamese dong). He believes the two suspects are foreigners.
This incident is considered rare, as Japan has a very low robbery rate, only about 1.2 cases per 100,000 people, according to government data. Tokyo is also considered one of the safest cities in the world, where violent crime and robbery are uncommon.
Police are investigating the incident as a robbery causing injury and are searching for the two suspects.
