New Zealand police have recovered a valuable, limited-edition Faberge egg-shaped pendant swallowed by a thief in Auckland. The recovery occurred on the evening of 5/12, following a six-day wait for the 32-year-old suspect to naturally excrete the item. The man was arrested on 28/11 at Partridge Jewelers in Auckland.
The suspect appeared in court on 29/11, but did not enter a plea. He has since been detained under 24-hour police watch to ensure the evidence's recovery. Police confirmed the pendant was passed without medical intervention.

The recovered necklace, photographed by police on a paper lining with its 19,000 USD price tag still attached, is a limited-edition Faberge egg-shaped pendant. Measuring 3,3 inches (8,4 cm) long, its design is inspired by the James Bond film featuring Roger Moore as agent 007.
Only 50 such pendants exist worldwide. Each is crafted from 18 carat gold, coated with green enamel, and adorned with 60 white diamonds and 15 blue sapphires.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in court again on 8/12 and will remain in custody until then.
