Are there regulations for warning signs when stopping on Vietnamese expressways?

I have seen tanker trucks use mini fire extinguishers or many vehicles use tree branches as warning signals when disabled and stopped on expressways.

A reader questions if there are specific legal standards for warning signs and devices, or if any object can be used as a warning. They express concern that using only a mini fire extinguisher, as seen recently with a truck, is ineffective and potentially more dangerous.

News reports often highlight drivers being fined for improper warning distance, but rarely mention the type of object used as a warning.

The Road Traffic Order and Safety Law 2024 states the following regarding vehicle stops on expressways:

2. Vehicles may only stop or park in designated areas. In cases of technical malfunction or other force majeure requiring a stop, vehicles may stop or park in the emergency lane in the direction of travel and must display emergency lights. If a vehicle cannot move into the emergency lane, it must display emergency lights and place a warning sign or light at least 150 meters behind the vehicle, promptly notifying the Traffic Police Department responsible for ensuring traffic order and safety on that route or the expressway management authority.

So, what exactly constitutes a warning sign or light?
