Boy hit by car after emerging from blind spot

A boy darted into the street from behind a parked car and was struck by an oncoming vehicle on 30/7 in Tan Tay Do.

Three boys ran across the street, with one squeezing through a narrow gap in front of a parked car. Immediately after clearing the front of the parked vehicle, he was struck by an oncoming car and thrown onto the road. The boy was able to sit up afterward.

Families with young children should keep them within sight and prevent them from playing unsupervised in the street. Such actions pose safety risks to children and affect traffic flow.

Children need instruction on basic traffic safety skills: stopping to observe before crossing, using pedestrian crossings, and moving when the light is green. In areas without lights, they must observe carefully, ensuring no vehicles are approaching before proceeding.

Drivers should proactively reduce speed and maintain a wide field of vision on crowded roads, at intersections, or in chaotic traffic. This helps anticipate unexpected situations.
