As the seventh lunar month ends (the last week of September), dealerships are increasing promotional activities to stimulate demand. In the C-segment SUV segment, several models are seeing price reductions of tens of millions of dong.
The Mazda CX-5, the best-selling model in the segment, has discounts from 20 to 40 million dong depending on the version. With a 40 million dong discount, the standard version of the CX-5 is currently selling for 709 million dong, lower than some B-segment and B+ segment CUVs like the Honda HR-V (699-869 million dong) and the Toyota Corolla Cross (820-905 million dong).
The Ford Territory received a mid-cycle upgrade in August, so the discount isn't as substantial as before. Some dealerships currently offer cash discounts of around 20-25 million dong for Territory versions, along with accessories.

Honda CR-V L and G versions offer a 50% discount on the registration fee. This promotion applies to the general 10% rate, regardless of the registration location, equivalent to about 50 million dong.
The Kia Sportage has discounts ranging from 25 to 40 million dong depending on the version. The all-electric VinFast VF 7 has a discount of 4% of the vehicle's value, equivalent to around 32-38 million dong.
In the first 8 months of 2025, the C-segment CUV sector witnessed the overwhelming dominance of the CX-5 in terms of sales. The Mazda model continues its solo journey toward the top sales spot in the segment, having sold nearly 10,000 units, nearly 3,000 units ahead of its competitor, the Territory. Ranking third in the list of best-selling models in the segment is the VinFast VF 7.
The VinFast model sold 718 units in August, bringing the total accumulated sales since the beginning of the year to nearly 5,100 units. This figure is slightly higher than that of the Hyundai Tucson and Honda CR-V.
