Mitsubishi joins other brands like Toyota, Hyundai, Honda, and Suzuki in offering discounts and promotions as the market enters the final quarter of 2025. The Japanese automaker provides 50-100% registration fee support across many products, from sedans to SUVs.
These registration fee incentives effectively lower the on-the-road cost for buyers. Depending on the dealership, customers can negotiate to apply this promotional amount directly to the vehicle's price.

For Mitsubishi's best-selling Xpander, excluding the domestically assembled standard MT version which receives a 50% registration fee incentive (equivalent to 28 million dong), other versions qualify for a 100% incentive, amounting to 60-70 million dong. In the MPV segment, similar full registration fee promotions are also available for models like the Suzuki XL7 and Toyota Veloz.
Mitsubishi's second best-selling model, the Xforce, also features similar promotions to the Xpander. The top-tier Ultimate version receives a 50% registration fee incentive, reducing its on-the-road cost by over 35 million dong. The two lower trims, GLX and Premium, benefit from double that incentive, around 60-68 million dong.
The Toyota Yaris Cross, Xforce's primary competitor in the B-segment gasoline CUV category, is currently offering a 50% registration fee incentive, reducing its price by approximately 42-48 million dong.
Mitsubishi is stimulating demand for its B-segment sedan, the Attrage, with 50-100% registration fee promotions, translating to reductions of approximately 24-38 million dong. The Thai-imported pickup truck, Triton, offers similar incentives. On-the-road costs for Mitsubishi Triton versions are reduced by about 23-40 million dong.
Beyond registration fee waivers, individual Mitsubishi dealerships may offer additional incentives to boost sales, such as accessories or fuel vouchers worth tens of millions of dong.
Starting in October, the Vietnamese automotive market enters its peak sales season, driven by intensified promotions and discounts from manufacturers and dealerships. Many brands also take this opportunity to launch new products, building brand excitement in the months leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year).
Specifically for Mitsubishi, the company recently introduced an updated Xpander, featuring equipment upgrades primarily for its Premium and Cross versions. For the remainder of 2025, the brand plans to unveil an additional C-segment CUV, the Destinator, which has already arrived in Vietnam and awaits its official launch.
After eight months of 2025, Mitsubishi's sales reached 21,204 vehicles, a slight decrease of 6% compared to the same period in 2024. The automaker ranks 5th in market sales, following VinFast, Toyota, Hyundai, and Ford.
