The success of the CB-1, the motorcycle that pioneered the 400cc road-going nakedbike segment in Japan in 1989, prompted Honda to invest more in sporty, powerful motorcycles geared towards younger riders. In early 1990, the "Project Big-1" was launched with the goal of creating a leading motorcycle in three aspects: engine performance, attractive design, and riding experience.
The Honda CB1000 Super Four (SF), introduced in 1992, was one of the first models from Project Big-1. The bike featured a classic yet wild design, with an inline-4 engine delivering strong torque at low and mid-range RPMs. Along with the CB400SF, the CB1000SF propelled Honda's CB nakedbike series to its peak, garnering a large fan base worldwide.
In 1998, Honda upgraded the CB1000SF. The legendary design remained largely unchanged, but the engine displacement was increased to 1,300cc. Thus, the CB1300SF was born.
As emission regulations became stricter, Honda decided to discontinue production of this series. In 2/2025, to honor the large displacement CB1300SF series and its predecessor, the CB1000SF, Honda created 3,400 final edition CB1300SF Final Editions, including both standard and premium SP versions.

In late August, four Honda CB1300SF SP Final Edition motorcycles were imported into Vietnam from Japan by a private company. The bikes feature a red and white color scheme, reminiscent of the original CB1000SF launched in 1992.
Compared to the original design, the CB1300SF SP Final Edition retains almost the same classic shape. The bike has an elongated seat and high handlebars for a comfortable riding position. The round LED headlight, horn, dual speedometer, and upward-angled taillight are all similar to the CB1000SF models of the 90s.
As the premium SP version, the CB1300SF is equipped with Ohlins USD front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by Brembo four-piston calipers with dual discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.
The 21-liter fuel tank features the Final Edition badge. The motorcycle has contrasting gold accents on the chain guard and four exhaust headers. Each side of the chain guard also features the Project Big-1 logo.
The CB1300SF Final Edition is powered by a liquid-cooled, 1,284cc, 16-valve DOHC inline-4 engine. It produces 113 horsepower at 7,250 RPM and 112 Nm of torque at 6,250 RPM.
Honda's nakedbike comes with riding modes such as Standard, Sport, and Rain. Rider assistance technologies include traction control, cruise control, and dual-channel ABS.
The collectible Honda CB1300SF SP Final Edition is priced at over 550 million VND in Vietnam.
