First Honda Super Cub 110 Hello Kitty imported to Vietnam

A limited edition of the Super Cub inspired by Hello Kitty has been privately imported.

A private enterprise in Ho Chi Minh City imported the Honda Super Cub 110 Hello Kitty from Japan. This special edition Super Cub commemorates the 50th anniversary of the globally recognized cultural icon, Hello Kitty.

The Hello Kitty edition retains the overall design of the standard Super Cub 110, which was previously available in Vietnam. This version features Hello Kitty logos and faces. The character was created by the Japanese company Sanrio in 1974.

The motorcycle has an analog speedometer with a digital display underneath. "Hello Kitty" is inscribed above the speedometer.

Hello Kitty's signature red bow adorns the front of the Super Cub. While Hello Kitty's appearance often leads people to believe she is a cat, Sanrio clarifies that she is a fictional character residing in the suburbs of London, England, known for her sweet nature and friendliness.

The physical key features a Hello Kitty image and the number 50, marking the character's 50th anniversary.

This special edition features cast wheels and ABS brakes. These features are not currently available on standard 110-125cc motorcycles in Vietnam, such as the Honda Wave Alpha 110 (priced from 17.8 million VND), Future 125i (from 30.5 million VND), Yamaha Sirius Fi (from 21.2 million VND), and Jupiter Fi (from 30 million VND).

Hello Kitty first appeared on a coin purse in Japan. As the character loves apple pie, Honda painted the motorcycle's body and fenders a red reminiscent of apples.

The Super Cub 110's seat is leather with red piping matching the body color. Various Hello Kitty designs decorate the area behind the seat.

The Super Cub 110 does not have a storage compartment. The fuel tank holds 4.1 liters. According to Honda's testing in Japan, the motorcycle achieves a fuel efficiency of approximately 68 km/liter.

Hello Kitty's face is displayed on the side panels. The character is depicted without a mouth. Sanrio explains that this allows people to project their own emotions onto Hello Kitty.

The special edition retains the metal luggage rack for carrying cargo.

The rear fender displays "Hello Kitty" in contrasting white. The taillight is halogen.

The rear wheel has a drum brake. Both wheels are 17 inches.

The Honda Super Cub 110 Hello Kitty has the same 109cc, fuel-injected engine as the standard version, producing 8 horsepower and 9 Nm of torque. It has a 4-speed transmission.

The Super Cub 110 Hello Kitty's price in Vietnam is not yet available. In Japan, it starts at 2,660 USD. Honda is producing a limited run of 1,000 units.
