Green GSM expands electric taxi service in the Philippines

Green GSM's electric taxi service extends to Davao City, part of a strategy to promote green transportation in a key urban hub in the Philippines.

On 15/12, Green GSM officially launched its electric taxi service in Davao City, Philippines. This marks its first expansion outside the Metro Manila area. The launch ceremony was attended by Nonito Llanos, Regional Director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for the Davao region, along with representatives from local government and business partners.

Davao, a major urban center in Mindanao, plays a crucial role in the Philippines' economic and social landscape. The city has recently prioritized improving air quality and fostering sustainable urban development, creating an ideal environment for modern mobility solutions.

Green GSM in Davao implements its "5 Green Promises": excellent experience, professional drivers, well-maintained vehicles, fair prices, and a positive environmental impact. Its drivers operate zero-emission VinFast electric vehicles, with fares clearly displayed on the app, aiming for sustainable transportation and improved quality of life.

Dao Quy Phi, CEO of Green GSM Southeast Asia, stated, "Davao is a city that values order and environmental responsibility. Our goal is to provide reliable, zero-emission mobility options." He added that this expansion into Davao is a strategic step in Green GSM's plan to develop a pure-electric mobility platform across the Philippines.

Residents in the area can book Green GSM taxis via the app, hotline, or by hailing a vehicle at commercial locations. Since its launch in the Philippines in June, Green GSM has aimed to offer green, reliable, and cost-transparent mobility solutions. This market expansion demonstrates the company's commitment to sustainable urban development.
