Leading up to Tet, car manufacturers typically boost promotions and discounts to drive sales at dealerships. Following Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, and Suzuki, Mitsubishi is now offering vehicle promotions through registration fee waivers or cash discounts.
Mitsubishi's latest model, the Destinator, is receiving a 35 million VND reduction across the board. Its Premium and Ultimate versions are now priced at 745 million VND and 820 million VND, respectively. This pricing brings the Destinator close to the segment's best-selling model, the Mazda CX-5, which ranges from 749 million to 979 million VND before promotions.

The Xpander, a key model for Mitsubishi, comes with a 50-100% registration fee discount, varying by version. Dealerships are offering price reductions of 33-60 million VND on the vehicle. Rivals in its segment, including the Toyota Avanza, Veloz, and Hyundai Stargazer, are also providing comparable incentives.
Mitsubishi's B-segment CUV, the Xforce, includes a 50% registration fee discount on all its versions. This translates to a cash equivalent value of about 30-35 million VND.
Both the Attrage and Triton models benefit from a full 100% registration fee waiver across all versions. At dealerships, the Attrage sees price reductions of approximately 38-49 million VND, while the Triton is discounted by 40-56 million VND.
A representative for the Japanese automaker stated that the registration fee promotion is based on a 10% rate, applied uniformly regardless of the vehicle's registration locality. Most vehicles offered are from the 2026 manufacturing year, though some Attrage and Triton versions are 2025 models.
By the end of 2025, Mitsubishi had sold 44,107 vehicles, marking a 7% increase over 2024. The company secured the 5th position in market sales, trailing VinFast, Toyota, Hyundai, and Ford. The Xpander remained the brand's primary model, with 19,891 units sold, contributing approximately 45% to its total sales.
