Ho Chi Minh City gets new ultra-fast V-Green charging station

This 120 kW charging station, located on Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street behind the Reunification Palace, caters to vehicles parked on the street.

A new V-Green franchise charging station featuring two 120 kW DC charging pillars with 4 charging ports has opened in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. The station can simultaneously serve 4 vehicles parked on the street. It is one of 3 new charging stations V-Green has recently launched in central locations near tourist attractions.

Pham Ngoc Vuong, a VinFast VF 8 owner, said he has charged his car at this location twice. He typically charges his car fully at a station near his home before driving downtown but has recently started using street-side charging stations. "Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street is usually not too crowded, making it convenient for parking, charging, and driving," he said.

The new V-Green charging station is situated near a cafe behind the Reunification Palace, so electric vehicle drivers often charge their cars while parked there. "Charging points near cafes, restaurants, hospitals, and other downtown locations are convenient for drivers needing to recharge. I was an early adopter of the VF e34 and really enjoy using it because it's cost-effective and environmentally friendly," said Pham Anh Quyet, a businessman living in Binh Duong (now Ho Chi Minh City).

Xanh SM drivers have also praised V-Green's newly opened ultra-fast charging station for its convenient location and optimal charging capacity. "I find the model of placing ultra-fast charging stations in the city center very effective. Drivers can charge and leave immediately, optimizing their working time," said Tran Thanh Loi, a Xanh SM driver. "With the VF e34, I can fully charge the battery in about 30-40 minutes using this 120 kW pillar, taking advantage of breaks for rest and meals."

Xanh SM drivers can easily charge their vehicles by scanning the QR code on the pillar using a smartphone app.

V-Green's charging network now covers 34 provinces and cities nationwide to serve VinFast electric vehicle owners. In June, the company opened approximately 9,000 charging ports. Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City have received many new franchise charging stations with ultra-fast pillars and a large number of charging ports, with some stations having up to 84 ports.

Investors interested in opening a V-Green franchise charging station can access a 4 trillion VND credit support package from Vietinbank. The loan ratio can be up to 70% of the total investment value, with flexible terms of up to 5 years and preferential interest rates for the first 12 months starting at 6.3% per year for businesses and 6.5% for individuals. Station investors can choose to use the charging pillars or other assets as collateral.
