A private enterprise in Ho Chi Minh City has imported three Honda Monkey Chrome Legacy motorcycles from Thailand. This edition commemorates 60 years of Honda's presence in Thailand (1965-2025).
Honda Thailand has limited the Monkey Chrome Legacy production to 1,390 units. The three bikes arriving in Vietnam bear the serial numbers 0577, 0766, and 0009, displayed on stickers on the fuel tank in front of the seat.

The distinguishing feature of the Honda Monkey Chrome Legacy is its gleaming chrome plating on various parts: the fuel tank, headlight cover, taillight, rearview mirrors, side covers, and front and rear fenders. The Honda logo on the tank includes the special edition inscription: "Thai Honda 60th Anniversary 1965-2025".
Additional chrome-plated commemorative accents for Honda Thailand's 60th anniversary appear on the side covers and below the 5.6-liter fuel tank. The classically styled seat is secured with chrome-plated rivets. Each motorcycle comes with a matching chrome silver full-face helmet.
Aside from these highlights, the motorcycle's design and features are identical to the standard version. The Honda Monkey Chrome Legacy has a round LCD speedometer, LED headlights and taillights, single disc brakes on both wheels, and 12-inch wheels.
The Honda Monkey Chrome Legacy is powered by a 125cc, SOHC engine producing 9.2 horsepower and 11 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The price of the Monkey Chrome Legacy in Vietnam has not been announced. In Thailand, it costs around 3,610 USD.
Honda Monkey was officially sold in Vietnam in 2018 for nearly 90 million VND. Due to its high price, unique style, and niche appeal, sales were low, leading to its discontinuation.
The Monkey is currently imported by several private businesses. Buyers are typically affluent collectors, particularly drawn to limited editions priced at hundreds of millions of VND.
