Lynk & Co Vietnam is set to launch its flagship SUV, the Lynk & Co 900, in mid-June. The expected price is approximately 3 billion dong. Upon its official market debut, the Lynk & Co 900 is poised to carve out a distinct niche. Its dimensions and features rival large luxury SUVs, yet its approximate 3 billion dong price point brings it closer to the segment of smaller luxury SUVs.

The introduction of the Lynk & Co 900 will offer consumers another premium large SUV option. This model is expected to compete in two distinct market segments: vehicles within its price bracket and those of comparable size.
Within the 3 billion dong price range, the Vietnamese market currently offers options like the Volkswagen Touareg (2,699-3,399 billion dong), Mercedes GLC 300 (2,86 billion dong), and BMW X4 (2,99 billion dong). Slightly higher in price are the Toyota Prado (3,48 billion dong), Volvo XC 90 (3,29 billion dong), and Lexus RX (3,35 billion dong). While these models share a similar price point, their dimensions and configurations differ significantly from the Lynk & Co 900.
Among these, the Volkswagen Touareg, though similarly priced, features a 5-seat, two-row configuration, prioritizing driving dynamics for those who appreciate German automotive performance. The Mercedes GLC and BMW X4 are smaller. The Volvo XC 90 and Lexus RX, though luxury vehicles, are also smaller and offer fewer rear-seat amenities.

At this price point, the Lynk & Co 900 distinguishes itself with full-size SUV dimensions and an EM-P hybrid (plug-in hybrid) powertrain. This system, combining an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, delivers a total output of 708 horsepower and 1,038 Nm of torque, setting it apart from other models in its price segment. The vehicle measures 5,240 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,810 mm in height, with a 3,160 mm wheelbase.
When considering size, Lynk & Co's flagship SUV enters a distinct arena, positioning itself as one of the largest models officially available in Vietnam. The Lynk & Co 900's dimensions are comparable to the long-wheelbase Range Rover (10,76 billion dong) and surpass most large luxury SUVs, including the BMW X7 (6,2 billion dong) and Lexus LX 600 (8,59 billion dong). Crucially, these large luxury SUVs are priced several times higher.

For years, premium consumers in Vietnam have typically chosen between large SUVs for driving performance or luxury MPVs for optimal rear passenger space and amenities. With the Lynk & Co 900, the brand aims to blend these elements, providing a distinct SUV driving experience alongside a comfortable rear cabin for VIPs or families.
Experts suggest this crossover appeal between the two user groups could become a significant advantage for the Lynk & Co 900 upon its Vietnamese market launch, especially amidst increasing demand for large family SUVs.
Lynk & Co Vietnam will launch its flagship SUV, the Lynk & Co 900, on 16/6 in Hanoi.
