Lynk & Co's EM-P super hybrid technology attracts experience seekers

The Lynk & Co experience day event showcased and demonstrated the advanced plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) technology platform, allowing users to experience the Lynk & Co 08 model on 18-19/4.

Following the successful event in TP HCM, Lynk & Co Vietnam organized its next experience program for users and visitors in Hanoi, held at Tasco Mall, Viet Hung ward.

The event drew a large number of participants with various activities: Co:talk sessions featuring experts and users sharing insights on the advanced plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) EM-P (e-motive performance) super hybrid platform; test drives and experiences with the Lynk & Co 08 model; child safety skill training with automobiles led by an expert; and a lucky draw with prizes from the organizers.

During the Co:talk session, representatives of the organizing committee provided detailed introductions and shared practical experiences regarding the EM-P super hybrid technology platform in the Lynk & Co 08 model for the Vietnam market. This technology is Lynk & Co's most advanced plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) system globally, designed to optimize fuel consumption, deliver an engaging driving experience within its segment, and operate independently of charging station infrastructure.

The Co:Talk session saw many users raise questions and concerns about new energy vehicle trends, covering aspects like operational methods, fuel consumption, and practical utility for daily driving needs. The program featured a lively Q&A segment, addressing queries from attendees and current vehicle owners considering a switch to hybrid cars, as well as factors to consider when purchasing an automobile today.

At the event, Vu Truong Quan (39, Hoan Kiem ward) asked how Lynk & Co's hybrid technology compares in fuel efficiency to other hybrid models in the same market segment. Expert Duong Dang Quang explained that while hybrid vehicles generally offer optimized fuel consumption, the EM-P super hybrid platform in the Lynk & Co 08 stands out due to its sporty driving experience and a fuel consumption rate as low as 1,38 liters per 100 km.

"The large NCM battery pack, with a capacity of up to 39,6 kWh, is even larger than some purely electric models, giving the Lynk & Co 08 a superior electric-only range within its segment. Real-world testing in Pure (electric-only) mode showed the vehicle exceeding the manufacturer's stated range of 200 km," the expert stated. "Beyond optimizing fuel consumption, the flexible use of gasoline and electric power from the EM-P super hybrid system is also dynamically managed in the car, aiming for a sporty experience in the D-segment SUV market."

Following the sharing session, attendees had the opportunity to drive and experience this PHEV technology in the Lynk & Co 08 model, testing all three driving modes – Pure, Hybrid, and Performance – under various conditions, including: acceleration, sudden braking, and slalom steering. "Compared to conventional hybrid vehicles, the Lynk & Co 08 offers a distinctly sporty driving experience. The car accelerates quickly in all three modes, with Power Mode, in particular, providing exhilarating acceleration," shared Truong Van Hoang (33, Tay Mo ward) after his test drive on the event's course.

In addition to experiencing the vehicles and the EM-P super hybrid technology platform in the Lynk & Co 08, the event also attracted participants with numerous activities over two days. The company organized a workshop titled "Child Skill Guidance – For Family Safety," led by coach Tien Tran, a safe driving expert.

During the session, the expert provided insights and real-life scenarios that can occur with children in automobiles, helping parents and children better understand how to recognize situations and handle problems, especially if a child is accidentally left in a car. The workshop attracted many families, thanks to its engaging interactions, practical scenarios, and guidance for children on emergency escape.

The Lynk & Co 08 is highly praised by users for its engaging driving experience, distinguishing it from traditional hybrid vehicles. *Photo: Lynk & Co*

Representatives from Lynk & Co Vietnam stated that the two Experience Day events in TP HCM and Hanoi served as crucial connection points between the brand, the user community, and customers. These events facilitated the intuitive and accessible sharing of real-life stories and user experiences. Attendees at these events also received lucky draw tickets, a set of free service vouchers, and a comprehensive 7-step vehicle inspection covering: tires, engine, electrical system, air conditioning, and diagnostics.
