On June 29, a VF 3 was filmed driving dangerously on the Deo Dran pass in Don Duong district. The mini electric car repeatedly overtook other vehicles on blind corners marked with solid lines indicating no passing. Oncoming traffic had to swerve to the edge of the road to avoid a collision.
Fortunately, there were no large vehicles like container trucks or buses approaching from the opposite direction. Otherwise, the VF 3 driver might not have been so lucky.
When driving on mountain passes, drivers must strictly adhere to road markings. Solid lines on curves and blind corners prohibit overtaking. Overtaking on a blind corner is extremely risky, as drivers cannot see oncoming traffic.
To overtake safely, drivers should wait for straight sections of road with clear visibility. They also need to understand their vehicle's capabilities to estimate the time and distance required for overtaking, especially when going uphill, which requires greater pulling power.
