In 2025, Mitsubishi Vietnam sold a total of 44,107 vehicles, an increase of approximately 7% compared to 41,198 units in 2024. Compared to other brands in the market, Mitsubishi maintained its fifth-place sales position, trailing the leading group of VinFast, Toyota, Hyundai, and Ford. While its ranking remained unchanged from the previous year, Mitsubishi improved its competitive standing by sustaining growth at a time when many other manufacturers experienced stagnant or declining sales.

This growth was primarily driven by strategic vehicle lines: Xpander saw a slight increase over the previous year, Xforce maintained stable growth, and Triton recorded a strong surge after its new generation launch. Additionally, the introduction of the Destinator model into the product portfolio expanded supply during the year-end period.
Conversely, sales of smaller sedans and larger SUVs, such as Attrage, Outlander, and Pajero Sport, continued to decline. However, these models represent a small proportion of the overall sales structure, thus not significantly impacting the company's general growth momentum.
The Xpander remained Mitsubishi's best-selling model in 2025, with 19,891 units sold, a slight increase from 19,498 units in 2024. It contributed 45% of the Japanese automaker's total sales. This marks the seventh consecutive year the Xpander has held the title of best-selling small MPV, capturing 46% of its segment's market share.
Ranking second was the Xforce small CUV, with 15,254 units sold in 2025, a slight rise from 14,407 units the previous year. Its youthful design, high ground clearance, and accessible price helped the Xforce maintain its appeal, making it a direct competitor to segment rivals from Korea and Japan. The Xforce also secured the first position in the B-segment gasoline CUV category in 2025.
The Triton pickup truck ranked third, selling 4,303 units in 2025, a significant increase from 2,687 units in 2024. This more than 60% surge indicates the pickup line has regained growth momentum since Mitsubishi launched its new version in September 2024. However, the Triton only accounted for 16% of the pickup segment's market share, considerably lower than the sales leader, the Ford Ranger, which held 69%.
In the lower-sales segment, the Attrage continued to experience declining sales, reflecting the trend of B-segment sedans losing ground to SUVs and crossovers, especially among first-time car buyers. The Outlander also saw a sharp decline, struggling to compete in the C-segment crossover category due to minimal product changes. The Pajero Sport recorded Mitsubishi's lowest sales volume last year.

Beyond these models, Mitsubishi also reported 2,377 Destinator vehicles sold in December 2025, marking the first month of sales for this 7-seater, C-segment CUV imported from Indonesia. This sales figure is considered a positive start for an entirely new product, demonstrating significant consumer interest during its initial distribution phase.
