A traffic incident occurred when a wrong-way motorcycle rider emerged from a bus's blind spot, colliding with one student on an electric bike. The impact caused the first student to fall onto the road, subsequently colliding with another student. Both students landed right next to a bus wheel. Fortunately, they were able to stand up immediately after the collision.
Driving against traffic is strictly prohibited for all vehicles, as it poses significant safety risks to both the driver and other road users.
Decree 168/2024 stipulates severe penalties for motorcycles traveling against traffic, including electric motorcycles and those under 50 cc. Violators face a fine of 4-6 million VND and two points deducted from their driver's license. If such an action causes an accident, the fine increases to 10-14 million VND, and ten points are deducted from the driver's license.
