The J5 is one of the two models to roll off the assembly line at the Geleximco - Chery joint venture factory, operational since August. In October, this B-segment CUV model continues to receive strong promotions to stimulate demand.
The selling prices and promotion levels for Jaecoo J5 variants are as follows: (unit: million dong)
| Variant | Price after promotion | Promotion amount |
| Premium | 505 | 94 |
| SHS-H Premium | 559 | 110 |
| SHS-H Flagship | 639 | |
| EV Flagship | 605 | 144 |
Despite its B-segment dimensions, the Chinese automaker positions the Jaecoo J5 (with a suggested price of 599-749 million dong) in the B+ segment. Here, it competes with rivals such as the Toyota Corolla Cross (820-865 million dong), Mazda CX-30 (699-749 million dong), BYD Atto 3 (766-886 million dong), and Lynk & Co 02 (818-898 million dong). The company aims for the J5 to be a more premium option than its sibling model, the Omoda C5 (539-749 million dong).
Jaecoo has identified the J5 as its key model for the upcoming period. While the company did not disclose specific sales figures, it reported that nearly 1,000 J5 units reached customers in September.
