Motorcyclist blocks lane-violating car for 10 minutes

A car crossed into the opposite lane to bypass traffic but was stopped by an unyielding motorcyclist.

Video: Thairath

Despite a double yellow line, a car driver ignored the law and crossed into the oncoming lane to avoid a long queue of traffic. However, a motorcyclist blocked the offending vehicle.

According to the person filming the video, the motorcyclist honked for over 10 minutes, but the car driver refused to return to the correct lane. Just before the video ends, the car driver rolled down the window and appeared to lean out to speak to the motorcyclist. The video doesn't show the final resolution of the incident.

The situation attracted attention and generated mixed reactions. Some praised the motorcyclist's courage and firmness, questioning why someone following the rules should have to yield.

Others argued against confronting such a reckless driver. "Don't risk your life," one commenter wrote.

Another commenter remarked, "In wartime, we fight together. In peacetime, we fight each other".

One person explained: "A real driver shouldn't do such a risky thing. It's a waste of time and emotion, and incredibly dangerous. A sensible person wouldn't put themselves in that situation. Right or wrong, let the authorities handle it legally. There are already countless problems in life and society; why create more? Avoiding potential problems isn't cowardly or fearful. Be mindful."
