Following new versions of the Kia Carnival and Sportage, Kia Vietnam introduces a comprehensively upgraded Sorento, positioned as "new design, new technology, and trend-leading" in the market. The exterior of the 7-seater SUV is highlighted by Kia's signature Star-map LED headlights and taillights, a new global design element for the brand.

The Sorento features a 3D patterned grille with chrome accents. The front bumper extends horizontally, combined with chrome-plated trim for a premium touch. 20-inch wheels cater to diverse driving conditions. The 7-seater configuration boasts a brown and premium leather interior. The driver's seat has a new design with heating, cooling, and two-position memory functions. The second row has heating and a large armrest, while the third row is designed for two adults. The rear seats can be folded flexibly to increase cargo space.
The center console adds several touch buttons, including dual-zone climate control adjustments. The 12.3-inch panoramic dual-screen display supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, accompanied by a 12-speaker Bose surround sound system. A rotary electronic shifter is paired with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Other amenities include: electronic parking brake, Auto Hold, HUD, Qi wireless charging, 27W Type-C fast charging ports, anti-glare rearview mirror, remote start, and an optional panoramic sunroof.

The new Sorento offers a choice of a 2.5 gasoline or a 2.2 diesel engine. The Smartstream 2.2 diesel engine features an aluminum alloy block, which is 19.5 kg lighter, and a 10% increase in injection pressure compared to the previous generation, improving fuel efficiency and delivering a maximum output of 198 horsepower. This version uses an 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The Smartstream 2.5 gasoline version uses a 6-speed automatic transmission.
A Kia Vietnam representative stated that the new Sorento is the only vehicle in its segment with a diesel engine, unibody construction, McPherson front suspension, multi-link rear suspension, and an optional AWD system. The vehicle offers four driving modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, and Smart, along with three terrain modes: Snow, Sand, and Mud.
The new Sorento is equipped with 6 airbags and safety features such as ESC, HAC, and parking sensors. According to Kia, the vehicle's frame has been structurally upgraded, reinforced with ultra-high-strength steel to optimize passenger protection. Kia has also upgraded the Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) from generation 1.5 to 2.0, adding Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) 2.0 and PCA (prevent collision assist).

The new Kia Sorento is available in two versions: the 2.2D Signature FWD and the 2.5G Signature FWD, priced at 1.389 billion VND and 1.249 billion VND respectively, including VAT. The optional AWD version adds 80 million VND and includes a panoramic sunroof and terrain modes. The vehicle features a brown interior and eight exterior color options, including the new Cityscape Green. The warranty is 5 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. Currently, buyers receive an 8 million VND service voucher, not redeemable for cash.
