A Wigo, with its left turn signal activated, crossed the solid yellow line and fully encroached into the oncoming lane, obstructing a vehicle correctly merging into the lane. The driver of the merging vehicle requested the Wigo driver to return to their lane, but the Wigo driver stubbornly refused to move.

Drivers are not permitted to encroach into oncoming lanes and impede the movement of other vehicles. The Wigo driver's behavior posed a safety risk to themselves and other road users, and could have caused localized traffic congestion.

Decree 168/2024 stipulates a fine of 4-6 million VND and a deduction of 2 points from the driver's license for overtaking in prohibited areas.
