The impact caused the motorcycle rider to fall to the ground; the extent of injuries is currently unknown.
Drivers must exercise caution when navigating busy intersections. It is crucial to reduce speed, observe traffic from all directions, and avoid overtaking when visibility is obstructed. If a vehicle ahead stops to yield, drivers should not overtake on the right, as motorcycles or pedestrians may appear from the front. Only proceed when the path ahead is confirmed to be clear and safe.
According to Decree 168/2024 on road traffic penalties, an automobile driver who improperly overtakes and causes a traffic accident faces a fine of 20-22 million VND and a deduction of 10 points from their driver's license.
