The incident occurred during a heavy downpour, where even with the wipers on high speed, the windshield was constantly blurred. The driver, whose car was equipped with a dashcam, was startled by bright lights through the rain. Initially mistaking them for a car in the opposite lane, the driver only realized upon getting closer that two motorcyclists were heading directly towards their vehicle. Fortunately, no collision occurred.
Highways are exclusively for high-speed cars, and motorcycles are strictly prohibited. Driving a motorcycle in the lane closest to the median strip, where cars can travel up to 100 km/h, is incredibly dangerous, especially during heavy rain with limited visibility, as shown in the video. According to Decree 168/2024, the fine for motorcycles entering the highway is 4-6 million VND, along with a deduction of 6 points from the driver's license.
