V-Green and The Gioi Di Dong partner to boost Vietnam's EV infrastructure

V-Green and The Gioi Di Dong will deploy over 2,000 EV charging stations and battery swapping cabinets across Vietnam.

On 15/9, V-Green and The Gioi Di Dong signed a strategic partnership agreement to install over 1,000 electric car charging points and over 1,000 battery swapping points at The Gioi Di Dong and Dien May Xanh stores nationwide by the end of 2026.

This year, the two companies plan to install 350 electric car charging stations and 1,360 electric motorbike battery swapping cabinets. Of these, 360 cabinets will be co-located with car charging stations, and 1,000 cabinets will be at independent locations. By 2026, they will add another 1,000 car charging stations and 500 motorbike battery swapping cabinets across the country. The Gioi Di Dong will also provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for V-Green's charging stations and swapping cabinets nationwide.

V-Green's network of charging stations and swapping cabinets are crucial in supporting VinFast EV users. Many The Gioi Di Dong locations already have integrated V-Green charging stations. The electric motorbike battery swapping system will be operational at The Gioi Di Dong stores from 1/11.

Nguyen Thanh Duong, CEO of V-Green, stated that this partnership will help the company expand its charging network to meet the growing demand of VinFast EV users. "We believe the collaboration of major companies will help improve EV infrastructure and contribute to the green transition," Duong said.

V-Green currently operates a network of over 150,000 charging ports for cars and motorbikes nationwide and plans to invest in an additional 150,000 motorbike battery swapping cabinets over the next 3 years, aiming to make Vietnam one of the countries with the highest density of charging stations globally and a regional leader in green transportation infrastructure.
