V-Green, a global charging station development company, and FPT Retail, a digital retail company, have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a nationwide network of charging stations for VinFast electric vehicles. The project will be rolled out at FPT Shop stores this year.
Under the agreement, the two companies will deploy electric car charging stations and VinFast electric motorbike battery swapping cabinets through franchising or leasing space for installation. Depending on the available space, V-Green and FPT Retail will determine whether to install charging stations or battery swapping cabinets, with operations expected to begin in November.

Nguyen Duc Vinh, V-Green’s deputy general director, said the partnership with FPT Retail is a step forward in helping the company expand its charging station network and enhance the experience for VinFast electric vehicle owners. "With the strengths of both sides, V-Green will soon achieve its goal of becoming the world's largest charging infrastructure developer, contributing to promoting a green future," he said.
Nguyen Viet Anh, FPT Retail’s deputy general director, believes the collaboration with V-Green is a business opportunity and allows the company to demonstrate social responsibility, contribute to the green transition, and strive towards the Net Zero target by 2050.
V-Green currently has a network of 150,000 charging ports for electric cars and motorbikes nationwide and is about to deploy a battery swapping system for VinFast electric motorbikes. The company aims to have 150,000 battery swapping locations in the next 3 years and to implement a franchising model similar to its electric car charging stations.
