According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) sales report, 199 D-segment sedans were sold in august, a 7.4% decrease (17 units) compared to july.
The Toyota Camry, the segment's leading model, continued its sales decline, a trend observed since April. In august, 175 Camrys were sold, down 9.3% (18 units) from the previous month, reflecting the overall downturn in Vietnam's auto market in august.
The Kia K5 saw a surprising 16.7% increase in sales, rising from 18 units in july to 21 in august. This positive growth for the K5 stands out against the backdrop of the market's overall decline.
The Honda Accord continues to struggle against its competitors. Only 3 Accords were sold in august, just one less than in july.
The remaining model in the segment, the Mazda6, has not reported any sales since May.
