According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA)'s august sales report, 2,120 pickup trucks were sold across all segments, a 7.9% decrease from july's 2,301 units. This decline mirrors the overall trend in the Vietnamese auto market in august compared to july.
The Ford Ranger maintained its position as the segment leader with 1,511 units sold in august. Compared to july, sales decreased by 5.4%, the smallest drop in the segment.
The Toyota Hilux secured the second position with 330 units delivered in august, down 15.4% from 390 units the previous month, marking the largest decline in the segment.
The Mitsubishi Triton held the third spot with 242 units delivered to Vietnamese customers in august. This represents an 11.03% decrease compared to july's sales. Isuzu's D-Max finished last, selling only 37 units, an 11.9% decrease from july's 42 units.
Based on cumulative sales from the beginning of 2025, the Ranger remains unchallenged with 10,894 units sold. The Triton follows with 2,330 units, the Hilux with 2,193, and the D-Max with 334.
The Nissan Navara is also present in the Vietnamese pickup truck segment, but the company does not disclose monthly sales figures.
