Vinfast announced this ambitious goal during a meeting with over 600 of its distributors, receiving "strong support and agreement". The target of 1.5 million electric scooters represents about 50% of the national motorcycle market, including both gasoline and electric models.

The company explained the feasibility of this target stems from several nationwide policies. Buyers currently receive a 10% discount on the vehicle price and 100% exemption from registration fees. For commercial use on the Xanh SM Platform, 90% of the remaining cost can be financed. For personal use, financing is available for up to 80%, requiring a 10% down payment. These loans are facilitated through banks and financial institutions partnering with Vinfast.
Vinfast offers a range of electric scooters with swappable batteries and is developing a battery swapping station network four times larger than the country's gas station network. The company aims to complete this network of 150,000 swapping stations by the end of 2026. Additionally, Vinfast electric scooter owners receive free charging at V-Green public stations nationwide until 15/5/2027.
Vinfast’s LFP battery-powered electric scooters come with a 6-year warranty for the vehicle and an 8-year warranty for the battery, double that of some gasoline and electric scooter brands in the market.

According to Vinfast, these policies have generated positive market feedback through its dealer network. As of the end of September, Vinfast boasts approximately 600 sales points and 400 repair and maintenance centers nationwide, ranking among the top two two-wheeler brands with the widest coverage in Vietnam.

Hoang Ha, Deputy General Director of Sales and Marketing for Vinfast electric scooters, stated the company's commitment to supporting consumers, partners, and distributors in the transition from gasoline to electric vehicles. "With a diverse product range and a rapidly expanding and synchronized network, we are confident in achieving our sales target of 1.5 million units in 2026," he said.
According to the company's announcement, after the first 9 months of the year, Vinfast became the second-largest two-wheeler brand in terms of market share, driven primarily by the shift from gasoline to electric vehicles. "In some areas, Vinfast has become the most popular two-wheeler brand, demonstrating a change in consumer preferences and awareness towards green transportation," a company representative said.
