VinFast receives double awards in India

VinFast awarded "newcomer of the year" and "value-for-money car of the year" for the VF 6 model at the Auto9 Awards 2026 on 24/1.

The Auto9 Awards, hosted by TV9 Network, is an annual event recognizing outstanding automotive and motorcycle brands and products in India. This year, the awards evaluated products launched in 2025 through real-world testing, technical data analysis, and expert assessment.

The organizers presented VinFast with the "newcomer of the year" award, acknowledging the company's rapid and significant market entry. They lauded the Vietnamese automaker's product strategy, execution, and alignment with local consumer demands. The VF 6 received the "value-for-money car of the year" award, recognizing its utility. Judges praised the VF 6 for its balanced blend of affordability, features, and ownership costs, highlighting VinFast's contribution to India's electric vehicle sector.

Speaking at the event, Tapan Ghosh, General Director of VinFast India, stated that receiving two awards at the Auto9 Awards 2026 acknowledges the brand's efforts in the Indian market. "This award reflects VinFast's long-term vision in approaching the market, focusing on actual consumer needs, and reinforcing our commitment to sustainable investment in India," Mr. Tapan Ghosh said.

Nand Kumar, Head of Automotive at TV9 Network, shared that VinFast's product strategy demonstrates a clear direction for each segment in the electric vehicle market. "The VF 6 stands out due to its balanced combination of extensive features, reasonable price, and high practicality for daily use," Mr. Nand Kumar affirmed.
