Upon its launch, the Wuling Hongguang will be the first MPV from the SAIC - GM - Guangxi Auto (SGMW) joint venture, with Guangxi Auto being the rebranded Wuling Group. The vehicle will be available in 6- and 7-seater configurations and is fully electric.
TMT is the distributor for SGMW vehicles in Vietnam. Prior to the Hongguang, TMT introduced the Wuling mini EV and Bingo, which are an electric mini car and a B-segment electric hatchback, respectively. All these models are all-electric and assembled domestically.

The company has not yet specified whether the Wuling Hongguang will be imported or locally assembled. Its selling price also remains undisclosed.
The Wuling Hongguang features a simple design with minimal distinctive elements. Its sloping rear end evokes the appearance of traditional commercial vans. In China, the vehicle comes equipped with led headlights, 14-inch wheels, front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes.
The Hongguang measures 4.515 mm in length, 1.725 mm in width, and 1.790 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2.850 mm. These specifications position Wuling's all-electric model with a wheelbase and height comparable to mid-size MPVs such as the MG G50, GAC M6 Pro, or electric models like the VinFast Limo Green, MPV 7, and BYD M6. However, its overall length and width place it within the compact segment, alongside models like the Toyota Veloz and Mitsubishi Xpander.

The Hongguang's interior is simple, prioritizing practicality. It is equipped with a smart key and a one-touch down function for the driver's side window. Depending on the trim, an infotainment screen is available for the cabin. Other features include a standard two-speaker audio system and a usb charging port.
According to the distributor, the Wuling Hongguang is powered by a motor producing 101 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque, reaching a top speed of 135 km/h. Its 32,6 kWh battery provides a range of 300 km. Using a 7 kW home charger, a full charge takes approximately 5 hours.
In addition to the Hongguang, TMT announced plans to launch several other models, including an upgraded version of the mini EV. The factory has ceased production of the older Wuling mini EV model and expects to introduce the new version to the market in the second half of 2026. This model will also continue to be sold as a locally assembled vehicle.
