Xiaomi officially launched the SU7 electric vehicle on 28/3/2024, positioning it as a competitor to Tesla's Model 3. The SU7 is currently available in three versions: Standard, Pro, and Max, with starting prices of 215,900 CNY (30,290 USD), 245,900 CNY (34,400 USD), and 299,900 CNY (42,200 USD), respectively.
The YU7, Xiaomi's second model launched on 25/5, is the company's first electric SUV and a direct competitor to the Tesla Model Y. The YU7's market launch led to a surge in orders, resulting in unprecedented production capacity constraints for Xiaomi. According to Xiaomi's mobile app, consumers ordering the YU7 currently face a waiting period of up to 55 weeks.
