These two models are urban scooters. The Janus is an accessible option for young customers and women seeking a light and agile city vehicle. It features an elegant design, a 125 cc Blue Core engine, a smart key, a stop & start system that automatically shuts off the engine at red lights, and a spacious storage compartment. Additionally, it has safe tubeless tires, reducing the risk of sudden punctures.
The Yamaha LEXi is positioned in a higher segment, targeting users who travel frequently and need a stable, comfortable scooter. It features a compact maxi-scooter style, highlighted by a large seat, an upright riding posture, and a flat floorboard. The LEXi is equipped with a 155 cc Blue Core engine, shared with the YZF-R15 motorcycle, and includes a hydraulic cam chain tensioner to reduce friction and VVA (variable valve actuation) to increase intake valve opening at high RPMs.

Some LEXi versions also feature a traction control system, smart key, and mobile device charging port, reflecting the growing role of technology in modern scooters. A company representative stated, "The combination of the Janus's user-friendly design and fuel efficiency with the LEXi's stable, technology-rich performance demonstrates Yamaha's product diversification strategy in the urban scooter segment."
