Zontes 703F: a 168 million VND adventure motorcycle

This mid-range adventure motorcycle from China boasts front and rear cameras, an electrically adjustable windscreen, and two riding modes.

A private enterprise in Ho Chi Minh City introduced the Zontes 703F motorcycle to the market at the end of August. This is a mid-range adventure model from the Chinese brand.

The Zontes 703F features an angular design, high ground clearance (at least 190 mm), a high seat, and a comfortable riding position for long journeys on both paved and unpaved roads. The bike's dimensions are 2,315 mm long x 960 mm wide x 1,603 mm high, with a wheelbase of 1,550 mm. These specifications are similar to the Yamaha Tenere 700, which is officially sold in Vietnam.

The bike belongs to the adventure segment.

LED headlight.

Auxiliary front lights.

Electrically adjustable windscreen.

6.75-inch display.

Split-level seat.

Spoked wheels, 19-inch front wheel.

Single rear shock absorber.

Single rear disc brake.

High-rise fuel tank.

Rear camera.

LED taillight.

Underbody protection.

All lights on the 703F are LED. Two auxiliary lights are mounted on the front for night riding. The bike comes standard with a protective frame.

The Zontes 703F's features surpass those typically found in the mid-range motorcycle segment of 700cc and below. For example, it has front and rear dashcams. The footage from the cameras is displayed on the 6.75-inch TFT screen in front of the handlebars. This screen also connects to a smartphone, allowing users to check vehicle information and perform software upgrades.

The 703F has an electrically adjustable windscreen, heated handlebars, and hazard lights. The fuel tank has a 22-liter capacity, and the seat height is 830 mm.

The Zontes 703F is equipped with adjustable Marzocchi USD front forks and a monoshock rear suspension. The front wheel is 19 inches with dual disc brakes, and the rear wheel is 17 inches with a single disc brake. All brakes feature ABS.

Powering the 703F is a liquid-cooled, 3-cylinder engine producing 93.8 horsepower and 76 Nm of torque. The bike has two riding modes: Comfort and Sport. It also features traction control and a bi-directional quick shifter.

In Vietnam, the Zontes 703F offers an alternative to the privately imported CF Moto 700MT, priced at over 160 million VND, and officially distributed models such as the Yamaha Tenere 700 (399 million VND), Triumph Tiger Sport 660 (299 million VND), and Kawasaki Versys 650 (245 million VND).

Compared to its Japanese and European rivals, the Zontes 703F has a larger engine displacement, more power, and more advanced technology. Its disadvantages include lower brand recognition and a lack of long-term proven reliability in Vietnam.
