At the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City awarded 4-star OCOP recognition to 28 products from 5 companies: Yen Dao Can Gio Investment Trading Service Co., Ltd. with 16 products (bird's nest drinks, bird's nest with rock sugar, etc.); Sagrifood, a branch of Saigon Agriculture Corporation, with 7 products (various types of herbal pork); Song Khoe Production Trading Service Co., Ltd. with 3 products (bird's nest products and black garlic juice); Meet More Global Trading Co., Ltd. with one product (instant coffee); and Vietnam Nipa Palm JSC with one product (nipa palm sugar).
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, praised the creativity and efforts of the businesses, individuals, cooperatives, and relevant agencies. He noted that while the OCOP program initially focused on key products, handicrafts, and ornamental plants, it has now expanded to include food, beverages, medicinal herbs, community tourism services, and tourist attractions. However, for the program to continue to develop sustainably, agencies and localities need to strengthen their support in a synchronized manner.

To promote consumption and expand the market for these products, the city has implemented various trade promotion activities: The announcement ceremony for OCOP products in 2022, 2023, and 2024; signing ceremonies for supporting product consumption; agricultural and OCOP product fairs and exhibitions; trade promotion fairs; and weekend agricultural markets.
A representative of the organizing committee stated that the OCOP program not only contributes to increasing the value of agricultural production but also serves as an important driving force for Ho Chi Minh City's transformation towards green and sustainable development. These products are a bridge between rural and urban areas, between traditional values and modern consumer trends.
The OCOP program (One Commune One Product) in Ho Chi Minh City has been implemented since 2019, initially piloted in 5 suburban districts and expanded citywide in 2022, including Thu Duc City. The program aims to develop local specialty products in 6 categories: food, beverages, herbs, clothing, souvenirs, and community tourism. As of the end of June 2025, Ho Chi Minh City has recognized 419 OCOP products from 155 entities. Among them, 312 products achieved 3-star status and 107 products achieved 4-star status. Currently, no products have achieved 5-star status at the city level.
