This regulation, part of Decree 181 issued by the Government, aims to promote financial transparency and combat tax evasion. However, it also presents a significant challenge for many businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have not fully transitioned to transparent and compliant payment methods under the new financial standards.
Failure to meet payment requirements could disqualify businesses from tax deductions on various expenses, directly impacting costs and profits. In this context, the need for a financial tool that is both flexible and legally compliant has become critical.
As one of the top 5 banks in Vietnam, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) has proactively implemented solutions to help businesses adapt to the new regulations. The bank recently launched the MB Hi BIZ multipurpose business card, integrating both debit and credit functions, allowing businesses to flexibly choose their spending source based on their needs. Expenses such as business trips, marketing, and outsourcing, paid through the card, generate valid receipts eligible for VAT deductions.

Businesses without a credit limit can still open a debit card linked to their checking account. Based on financial records and transaction history, MB will assign a suitable credit limit, integrated directly into the existing MB Hi BIZ card, eliminating the need for businesses to register for a new product. Internal spending management is centralized through BIZ MBBank, allowing business owners to grant permissions, set limits, monitor, and actively adjust the activity of each supplementary card, enhancing transparency in financial management.
Beyond compliance, MB Hi BIZ also incorporates financial incentives to optimize business costs. Cardholders receive 2.5% cashback on advertising expenses on platforms like Google and Meta, and enjoy a preferential foreign currency exchange fee of 1.2%.
For business trips and client entertainment, cardholders receive a 15% discount on global hotel bookings through Agoda, a 1 million VND discount on flight bookings through Trip.com, and discounts at various Michelin-standard restaurants domestically.
The card also helps businesses access essential software tools such as MISA AMIS, Google Workspace, and iStock with discounts of up to 30%, saving monthly operating costs in a context requiring strict cash flow control.
According to a bank representative, in an increasingly stringent legal environment, the MB Hi BIZ card is expected to be a solution that helps businesses standardize financial processes, control risks, meet compliance requirements, and leverage legitimate tax benefits.

MB Hi BIZ is part of the BIZ MBBank ecosystem, a digital financial platform integrating tools to serve business operations. Here, businesses can open accounts, manage cash flow, apply for credit, track limits, and issue import letters of credit (L/C) entirely online, shortening processing time compared to traditional processes.
The system also connects directly with accounting software, electronic invoices, and sales management, helping to automate reconciliation, standardize audit processes, and enhance transparency in internal cash flow.
According to bank statistics, in the first 6 months of 2025, approximately 40,000 newly established businesses chose to open BIZ MBBank accounts, accounting for 45% of the total newly registered businesses in the market (91,000 businesses). This figure demonstrates the demand for operational optimization and digital transformation, especially towards a paperless model, which is a top priority when new businesses start operating with limited resources.
