This appointment is part of the Japanese retail group's personnel restructuring plan for the 2025 fiscal year.
Mr. Tezuka joined Aeon in 2002 and has held various management positions within the group. He served as director of the logistics department in 3/2021, then as managing director and CEO of Aeon Global SCM, the unit responsible for Aeon's global supply chain.

With this personnel change, Aeon says it is preparing for an expansion phase in Vietnam, a market considered key in the region. The group aims to more than triple its operations in Vietnam by 2030, including opening more shopping malls, diversifying retail models, and expanding distribution channels.
As part of this strategy, Aeon is focusing on reforming its supply chain, developing private label brands, and expanding its presence from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to other localities. The company is also developing additional models that combine financial services and e-commerce.
The leading Japanese retail group has been present in Vietnam since 2011. Currently, the company operates in five retail sectors: shopping malls, supermarkets, specialty stores, mini-supermarkets, and e-commerce.
