Supporting 129BPM's participation in the George Town Festival is the latest initiative in AirAsia's long-term strategy to promote arts and culture. An airline representative explained that, in addition to offering affordable fares, AirAsia views itself as a bridge connecting the region, where creative values, identities, and people are linked through every flight.
The airline has a history of supporting Vietnamese sports, contributing to national pride through various activities: offering lifetime flight passes to Vietnamese athletes who won gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics, sponsoring the 29th SEA Games and the 9th ASEAN Para Games, and choosing Nguyen Cong Phuong as a brand ambassador. These actions reflect a commitment to supporting journeys that transcend boundaries—from art to sports, from community to nation.
AirAsia currently operates 188 flights per week, directly connecting major Vietnamese cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, and Hai Phong to regional tourism and cultural hubs such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Beyond Southeast Asia, the airline extends its reach to over 130 destinations across Asia and Australia. AirAsia has been named the World's Best Low-Cost Airline by Skytrax for 16 consecutive years.
