GC Food (G.C Food Joint Stock Company) reported a net revenue of 200 billion VND in Quarter II, a 41% increase compared to the same period last year. The company's gross profit increased by 21% to 73 billion VND.
According to Nguyen Van Thu, Chairman of GC Food, this significant growth stems from higher sales volume compared to the same period last year, coupled with an 18% decrease in financial costs due to lower debt and interest rates. The company's gross profit margin also improved significantly thanks to direct control over raw materials and optimized operations.
In the first 6 months of the year, GC Food achieved 347 billion VND in net revenue and 52 billion VND in after-tax profit, representing increases of 33% and 64% respectively compared to the same period last year. With these results, the company has achieved 48% of its annual revenue target and 58% of its profit target. On average, the company earned nearly 9 billion VND per month, more than double the amount earned during the same period in 2024.
In August, Asia Ingredients Group Joint Stock Company (AIG) became a strategic shareholder of GC Food after acquiring over 7.1 million privately issued GCF shares, increasing its ownership from 34.73% to 52.87%.
Thu stated that this partnership between the two companies reflects a shared vision of developing a deep-processed agricultural product ecosystem, aiming to become a central hub for natural food ingredients in the region. AIG owns an ecosystem that includes processing coconut, frozen fruit, puree, cinnamon oil, star anise oil, and other products, with a presence in over 50 countries.
Founded in 2011 in Ninh Thuan, GC Food started by growing aloe vera, building a processing factory, and establishing a closed-loop value chain for clean agricultural products. After over a decade, the company has become Vietnam's leading producer of aloe vera and coconut jelly, exporting to 27 countries.
In 2022, the company was listed on the UPCoM stock exchange. In 2024, it achieved 475 billion VND in net revenue and nearly 70 billion VND in after-tax profit, and published a sustainability report following international ESG standards.
