The facility, spanning approximately 150,000 square meters across 4 floors, is anticipated to be one of the largest warehouses ever constructed in Queensland. Once fully operational, the center will be capable of processing over 125 million packages annually.
This fulfillment center will serve orders placed on Amazon.com.au and can store up to 15 million small-sized products, including electronics, cosmetics, toys, and household goods. The facility will also process products from small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Queensland selling on the Amazon platform.

"People are central to our operations. By combining advanced robotic technology with local human resources at this modern facility, we are building a work environment where people and technology collaborate to serve customers", stated Wayne Angus, director of operations for Amazon Australia. "This investment demonstrates Amazon's commitment to customers in Queensland and our confidence in the state's economic growth."
The facility will integrate Amazon's robotic systems to enhance operational efficiency and assist employees with repetitive tasks. These systems include Hercules mobile robots, capable of transporting shelves weighing up to 500 kg to workstations, and Sparrow – a robotic arm that uses computer vision and artificial intelligence (AI) to identify and sort products during order processing.
According to Amazon, the project will create over 1,000 permanent jobs when it becomes operational. The construction and installation phase is expected to generate approximately 2,000 jobs.
Amazon is also constructing a supply chain center in Aragon, Spain.
