Solahart is a solar energy brand from Australia. The company entered Vietnam in 2014 through Rheem Vietnam Co., Ltd. Solahart has a solar panel and water heater factory in Binh Duong, with an initial investment of over 20 million USD.
At the signing ceremony, Matthew James Chessum, General Director of Solahart Vietnam, said the cooperation will bring high-performance and safe solar water heating solutions to the Vietnamese market. This is an important step in changing traditional energy consumption habits towards a more sustainable green future.
The water heater market in Vietnam was estimated to be worth around 240 million USD in 2024, with an annual growth rate of nearly 10%, and is expected to reach about 460-580 million USD by 2030. The demand for water heaters is increasing rapidly thanks to rapid urbanization, the rise of the middle class, and the development of the tourism and hotel industry.
Meanwhile, the lighting and LED market in Vietnam is also large, reaching approximately 566 million USD for the entire lighting industry and 735 million USD for the LED market alone in 2024, forecast to increase to over 1.2 billion USD by 2033 with an annual growth rate of over 6%.
