Apollo Group, a leading silicone sealant manufacturer in Vietnam, and Dow Chemical, a multinational chemical corporation, signed a strategic supply agreement on 9/12 in Shanghai, China. The event took place during the "Apollo Dow Factory Tour 2025" program, held from 7 to 10/12.
Under the agreement, Dow Chemical will develop a group of specialized, exclusive raw materials for Apollo's silicone sealant products in Vietnam. The partnership will also expand into new technology areas.

As part of the Shanghai business trip, an Apollo delegation, including senior leadership and key distributors, visited and worked at the Dow Chemical Zhangjiagang Complex. This marks a new step in technological cooperation between the two corporations. Dow Chemical specifically allocated a portion of its capacity and infrastructure within this complex to develop specific materials for Apollo, demonstrating its prioritization of a Vietnamese enterprise in the sealant sector.
The collaboration is built upon the technological foundation of the Dow Chemical Zhangjiagang Complex, one of Dow's most important strategic assets in Asia. This complex, with an investment of nearly 4 billion USD and an area exceeding 110 hectares, integrates large-capacity manufacturing plants and the Shanghai Dow Center, Dow's largest research and development (R&D) center outside the United States. The Shanghai R&D center brings together nearly 600 doctors, scientists, and engineers, supported by modern laboratory systems. It plays a pivotal role in developing polymer, coatings, and silicones technology for the Chinese, Asia-Pacific, and global markets. Alongside manufacturing capabilities, R&D serves as a strategic pillar in Dow's ecosystem.
"Apollo Group's visit here is not merely a tour or a business meeting; it affirms a strategic partnership that goes beyond conventional supply cooperation. Apollo and Dow share a technological vision and will help shape the future of the silicone materials industry in Vietnam and the region," an Apollo representative shared.

Launched in 2003, Apollo Group has become a familiar brand to millions of consumers, contractors, and investors. Its extensive distribution network, product portfolio optimized for Vietnam's climate, and premium raw materials from ShinEtsu and Dow Chemical have strengthened Apollo's brand position in the silicone sealant industry.
Apollo's market position stems from its capability to control the value chain. The enterprise operates according to international standards, invests substantially in R&D, and has built a deep distribution system to create economies of scale. Therefore, this strategic cooperation with Dow marks a significant shift, as Apollo becomes a link in the global silicone supply chain, moving beyond its role as a domestic manufacturer.
"The core advantage lies in taking the initiative from R&D, raw materials, to quality standardization. Comprehensive cooperation with Dow helps Apollo ensure stable technology and raw materials, creating a sustainable and difficult-to-replicate competitive advantage," a company representative stated.

In Apollo Group's sustainable development strategy, strategic cooperation is a core component of its competitive advantage. Partnering with international strategic partners like Dow in the research and development of specialized raw materials helps Apollo secure strategic supply, maintain consistent quality standards, and expand its competitiveness in markets with increasingly stringent technical requirements for silicone sealant.
