A representative of Bamboo Airways announced the appointments late on 13/8.

The company's board of directors had previously accepted the resignations of Pham Ngoc Vinh, chairman of the board, and Luong Hoai Nam, general director, effective 13/8/2025. Both cited personal reasons for their departures.

To ensure smooth operations, the board also passed resolutions appointing replacements. Le Thai Sam will take over as chairman from Pham Ngoc Vinh, and Truong Phuong Thanh will assume the role of general director.

Sam joined Bamboo Airways in 2022 and quickly became its largest shareholder. He served as chairman from 7/2023 to 2/2024 and subsequently as standing vice chairman. He has made significant contributions to the airline's management and operations, especially during its restructuring.

Thanh is an aviation expert with nearly 30 years of experience, having held leadership positions in several major companies. He worked at Bamboo Airways from 2019 to 2024 as deputy general director, overseeing key areas including ground operations, a factor directly affecting passenger experience and the airline's on-time performance. He returned to the role of deputy general director in 6/2025, continuing to contribute to improving service quality and operational efficiency.
