Bamboo Capital Joint Stock Company (stock code: BCG) has appointed Ng Wee Siong Leonard as general director and legal representative as of early September. The decision came on the same day the company received Pham Huu Quoc's resignation.
Leonard graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Singapore Management University and joined Bamboo Capital in 2016 as a project director. He is currently chairman of the board of directors of BCG Energy, an energy company within the Bamboo Capital ecosystem.

Leonard is Bamboo Capital's fourth general director in the past six months. The position was initially held by Nguyen Tung Lam. At the end of February, Lam left the general director position "to focus on a new role."
Ho Viet Thuy was then appointed as the new general director. Bamboo Capital said this move was in line with its strategy of empowering young leaders. However, in May, Thuy resigned to "accompany the group in a new role, focusing on specialized areas of project construction and operation."
At the same time, Pham Huu Quoc was appointed with the expectation of "improving the operating system, strengthening the financial structure, optimizing resources, and effectively exploiting the group's core business areas." Before becoming general director, Quoc was the chief financial officer and chief accountant of Bamboo Capital, and also deputy general director at BCG Land.
In his resignation letter signed on 28/8, Quoc said he "had devoted all his capacity and enthusiasm to fulfill the entrusted responsibilities" since becoming general director.
Bamboo Capital's senior personnel have recently undergone significant changes, not only in the executive board but also in the board of directors. In March, they announced Tan Bo Quan Andy as chairman, replacing his predecessor Kou Kok Yiow, who passed away due to a heart attack. At the same time, two members also resigned for personal reasons and to pursue other duties.
Bamboo Capital is a multi-sector group operating in fields such as real estate, construction, infrastructure, and renewable energy. As of the end of 2024, they had 40 subsidiaries and total consolidated assets of over 46,520 billion VND.
On the stock market, BCG shares are currently restricted from trading due to Bamboo Capital's delay in submitting its audited financial statements for 2024. In the last trading session of August, the stock closed at its ceiling price of 3,860 VND. Other stocks in the ecosystem, such as BGE, BCR, and TCD, also increased sharply by 4-7%.
