BEST partners with MoMo to enhance safety with cashless COD

Each COD order generates a unique QR code containing order details and payment amount. Customers can open MoMo and scan the QR code to complete the transaction.

After extensive collaboration and system integration testing, BEST and MoMo's R&D teams have finalized the service connection and are ready for deployment. In addition to existing payment methods, customers receiving cash-on-delivery (COD) orders from BEST Express now have the option of cashless payment by scanning a MoMo QR code directly within the delivery driver's app.

Fast payment, automatic reconciliation

With direct synchronization between BEST Express's ERP system and the MoMo app, the entire transaction process is recorded automatically in real-time. This reduces processing time, minimizes data errors, saves personnel costs, and ensures accuracy in financial reconciliation.

Collected COD amounts are transferred directly to BEST Express's financial system. The entire process is automatically recorded and updated in real-time by the system. BEST Express's automatic reconciliation system records and controls payment data. This minimizes risks associated with handling and storing large amounts of cash daily, especially on weekends or holidays, a significant challenge for the Vietnamese logistics industry.

Gavin Lu, General Director of BEST Inc. Vietnam, emphasized that secure COD management is BEST's top priority, as it directly impacts cash flow, profits, and partner trust. To address this, BEST has implemented multiple solutions to ensure a transparent and secure COD process.

"Collaborating with reputable e-payment platforms like MoMo enables us to implement cashless COD payment quickly and efficiently, mitigating cash handling risks and enhancing operational efficiency," Lu said.

A step forward in digitizing delivery services

The MoMo QR code COD payment solution will be rolled out nationwide to BEST Express customers. This initiative aligns with the company's long-term strategy to embrace the cashless trend, personalize payment experiences, and enhance transparency in collection activities.

According to a BEST Express representative, this partnership not only benefits users but also promotes digital payments, supporting online shops and e-commerce partners in improving operational efficiency, saving costs, and resources amidst the rapid growth of digital business.

Entering the Vietnamese market in 2019, BEST Express has expanded its network across the country with 39 automated sorting centers, over 950 post offices, and 7,800 delivery staff, capable of handling 1.8 million parcels daily.

The company is currently a delivery partner for reputable e-commerce platforms, domestic shopping channels, and tens of thousands of online shops nationwide.
