BIDV offers preferential interest rates for first-time homebuyers

BIDV has launched its "First Home" package, a 30,000 billion VND program offering interest rates 2% lower than standard home loans for individuals buying, building, or renovating a primary residence.

Owning a home is a significant financial goal for many Vietnamese. However, with fluctuating real estate prices, particularly in major cities, the journey from saving to homeownership has become a long-term challenge for young people.

A BIDV representative stated that most first-time homebuyers require a suitable financial plan to balance their goal of settling down with their ability to pay and other life objectives. Therefore, beyond just the interest rate, borrowers must consider the loan term, monthly repayment capacity, and the stability of their cash flow throughout the loan period.

To address this demand, BIDV is offering the "First Home" preferential credit package for individuals seeking loans to buy, build, or repair a home. With the message, "With BIDV, you have a home", the program aims to help borrowers achieve homeownership with a proactive financial plan that suits their repayment capabilities.

The credit package features three fixed interest rate options for customers to choose from: 9.5% per year for 12 months, 10% per year for 18 months, or 10.5% per year for 24 months.

A bank representative explained that offering multiple fixed interest rate terms allows borrowers to select an option based on their financial situation. For example, individuals expecting their income to increase soon might choose a shorter preferential term, while families prioritizing stable repayments during the initial phase could consider a longer fixed interest rate period. The maximum loan term of 30 years also helps distribute repayment obligations over time, reducing monthly cash flow pressure.

To qualify for this preferential loan package, customers must be the direct owner, co-owner, or co-user of the home or land purchased with the loan. At the time of applying, the customer (including their spouse, if married) must not have an existing housing loan with BIDV. This program does not apply to loans for business purposes, investment, or real estate reselling.

Box: Interested customers can contact BIDV branches, transaction offices, or the 24/7 customer care hotline at 1900 9247 to inquire about the conditions, required documents, and suitable loan options.
